Completed Projects

School Backpacks, the Philippines

We joined with our partners in the Philippines to supply over 165 brand new school backpacks for children in Cebu at the start on the 2024 school year!

Block Schools with Classroom of Hope, Indonesia

One of our goals in our first year of operation was to build a sustainable classroom! We were excited to partner with Classroom of Hope, who have successfully built multiple schools and homes in South-East Asia and East Africa, to build a classroom in Lombok Indonesia. The classroom was built from recycled plastic waste, which is highly sustainable and combats the plastic and climate crisis. Indonesia is the world’s second largest contributor to plastic pollution. These classrooms are earthquake resistant and use approximately one point three tonnes of recycled plastic waste. The classroom’s blocks take only 3-5 hours to build in a lego style modular approach.

Back-to-school packs, the Philippines

We supplied over 350 back-to-school packs for children in Cebu. Each pack was full of goodies like books and stationery, that families in these school communities struggle to cover.

Study Hub, the Philippines

We connected with our partners in the Philippines to resource a study hub for the high school and tertiary students in the community of Guizo, Cebu. This is an area where there is limited access to the internet and other resources. The study hub is a safe place where students can come and study, and access resources completely free of charge. Thanks to our incredible donors who made it possible to purchase the computers and who have opened doors for these students’ education!

Student Ukulele Club, the Philippines

Thanks to the generous support from our donors, we were able to partner with a group of dedicated volunteers who went into a disadvantaged community in Guizo, Cebu, to teach students the Ukulele! These children are now able to learn a new skill, and bring joy and music into their community.

Why musical instruments? Learning a musical instrument can help a child improve their language, maths, fine motor, concentration and social skills. It benefits their emotional, cognitive and behavioural development, and stimulates creativity.

SEMOA Education Centre, Malaysia

We partnered with SEMOA Education Centre in Malaysia, and thanks to our amazing donors we were able to provide the centre with a brand-new library. The library was fully resourced with books, computers, bookshelves and furniture. SEMOA Education Centre helps improve access to education and facilitates learning for the Orang Asli (Indigenous people of Malaysia). Their students come from rural jungle areas where there are no schools.

HelpKids Centre, Sri Lanka

We have partnered with HelpKids Centre Sri Lanka to provide quality school resources for their students. With your generous donations we were able to equip their classrooms with new tables, chairs and shelves. The centre was also able to set up book corners in each of their classrooms to promote and encourage reading. HelpKids Centre supports and strengthens local families living in slum regions and severe poverty in Colombo. We love that HelpKids Centre go one step further - they support young women in accessing vocational training, recognising that women in Sri Lanka are less likely to receive a formal education.
